Job summary

Harrison County Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Med/Surg and TCU teams on a PRN, night-shift basis. The role supports patient care delivery and unit operations under the supervision of the nursing staff.

Responsibilities include receptionist/secretarial duties on the unit, serving as a central communication link with patients, visitors and staff, and assisting nurses with patient care while upholding age-specific and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• Valid CNA License in the State of Indiana
• CPR

Responsibilities

• Perform receptionist and secretarial duties on the patient care unit
• Serve as the focal communication source in the nursing station through interaction with patients, visitors, staff, other departments and physicians
• Assist the staff nurses in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the life span to provide age-specific needs
