Job summary

Grandview Healthcare Center in Connecticut is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) dedicated to resident care in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. You will support residents with daily activities, monitor health needs, and collaborate with licensed staff to maintain a compassionate environment.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant certification from CT.
• Current/active CPR certification preferred.
• At least one year skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Effective verbal and written English communication.
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Ability to communicate at all levels and work in a team.
• Customer service oriented with ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care for residents daily and as needed.
• Change bed linen and maintain supplies in resident room.
• Ambulate and transfer residents with assistive devices.
• Record vital signs, weights, intake and output, and meals.
• Turn and position residents regularly.
• Observe residents and report changes to Charge Nurse.
• Contribute to data collection for MDS and care plan input.
• Ensure adequate hydration for residents daily.
• Prepare residents for meals and escort to dining room.
• Keep records of food intake and output.
• Monitor ventilation, temperature, light and noise.
• Take TPR, blood pressure, and other measures as directed.
• Respond promptly to call lights and assist with needs.
• Assist in orientation and training of other staff.
