Job summary

Manchester Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants for full-time and part-time positions. You will provide daily nursing care and personal assistance in accordance with each resident’s assessment, care plan, and the direction of licensed nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut CNA certification in good standing required
• Compassionate and respectful approach to resident care
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to follow care plans and nursing instructions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to perform the physical duties of the position
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience preferred
• Professional references demonstrating reliability and quality resident care

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal care
• Support mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation
• Assist with meals, hydration, and feeding as needed
• Take and record vital signs and other assigned information
• Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, safety, and comfort
• Answer call lights and respond promptly to resident needs
• Follow infection-control, safety, and facility procedures
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely
• Work cooperatively with nurses, CNAs, rehabilitation staff, and other departments
