• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical or biological science is required.
• Completion of an accredited clinical laboratory training program is required.
• Current Louisiana CLS license (Generalist or Specialist) is required.
• Eligible to assume Section Supervisor duties per CLIA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical laboratory testing across disciplines as assigned.
• Plans, organizes, and prioritizes work to maximize quality and quantity.
• Monitors analyzers and performs preventive maintenance as needed.
• Performs quality control and records results; reports critical results as required.
• Maintains documentation and records; participates in meetings and committee work.
