Job summary

TEC Services is seeking an Assistant Team Lead to support nightly janitorial operations, working hands-on to coordinate crews, train staff, and ensure safety and quality across client sites. This role requires leadership by example and strong communication with shifts and management.

You will assist with task assignments, perform inspections, and help maintain safety standards while promoting teamwork and reliability on the floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience required.
• Prior leadership, trainer, or lead experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team while leading by example.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work night shifts and travel to assigned store locations as needed.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nightly sanitation crews and lead by example.
• Assist Team Lead with assigning daily work and monitoring task completion.
• Provide guidance and coaching to team members during shifts.
• Communicate operational concerns to the Team Lead or manager.
• Monitor attendance/timekeeping and report concerns.
• Train new employees on cleaning procedures and equipment.
• Reinforce safety procedures and quality expectations.
• Perform janitorial duties and inspect work for quality.
• Support proper documentation and daily operational checklists.
