NBCUniversal is seeking a Night Cleaner to support the overnight shift at Universal Studios. You will help maintain cleanliness across restaurants, kitchens, venues, retail stores, and restrooms, ensuring a pristine guest and employee environment.

Responsibilities include thorough cleaning, trash removal, floor care, and daily disinfecting, with a focus on safety and high standards of hygiene. The role requires 18+ and overnight availability, outdoors work possible depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean restaurants/kitchens including stocking towels and soap in sanitary stations; sweep and mop floors with degreaser; wash down kitchen floors; remove mats for cleaning; detail walls, light fixtures, doors, counters, restaurant signs, and serving areas; scrub, strip and wax floors as assigned.
• Empty all trashcans in restaurants/kitchens, venues, stores, break rooms, restrooms, offices, and warehouses; replace liners; compact trash.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in venues, stores, break rooms, offices, and warehouses; scrub/strip/wax floors as assigned.
• Dust furniture, light fixtures, handrails, props, and remove gum; clean carpets in venues.
• Disinfect restrooms, wipe mirrors/countertops, stock towels/toilet paper/soap; remove graffiti from walls/stalls.
• Provide extraordinary guest service and assist guests; answer questions courteously.

Starting approximately one hour after park closure, this fast-paced role involves thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing a variety of areas, including restaurants, kitchens, attraction venues, break rooms, retail stores, restrooms, administrative offices, and warehouse buildings. Working both independently and collaboratively with team members, you'll demonstrate accountability, attention to detail, and efficiency to uphold the highest cleanliness standards. Your efforts will ensure a pristine and welcoming environment for guests and employees to enjoy each day.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for thoroughly cleaning the restaurants/kitchens, which includes stocking the towel and soap dispensers in the sanitary stations; sweeping, mopping floors with degreaser and after mopping hosing down the kitchen floors; remove the mats for cleaning; and detailing the walls, light fixtures (including fans), doors, counters, restaurant signs, and serving areas. Scrub, strip and wax floors as assigned.
• Empty all trashcans in the restaurants/kitchens, attraction venues, retail stores, break rooms, restrooms, administrative buildings and warehouses. Remove the trashcan liners for cleaning or replace the liners, and compact the trash.
• Vacuum/sweep and mop floors in the attraction venues, retail stores, break rooms, administrative buildings and warehouse and when assigned scrub, strip and wax floors.
• Dusting furniture, light fixtures, handrails, props, etc. and removing gum and cleaning carpets in the attraction venues.
• Responsible for thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the restrooms which includes wiping mirrors and countertops, sweeping and mopping/scrubbing floors, scrubbing toilet bowls and urinals, etc. Removing any graffiti from walls and bathroom stalls. Stocking and filling paper towels, toilet paper, cover seats, air freshener, and soap dispensers/containers.
• Promotes and provides extraordinary guest service for both internal and external guests; answers questions and offers information in a courteous manner. Seeks to provide assistance to guests.
• Understand and demonstrate the proper use of safety practices and ensure department standards are maintained and safety policies for the Park are upheld.
• Monitor and maintain a safe and secure environment for both team members and guests of all ages, following all company guidelines and protocols.
• Identify, de-escalate, and resolve conflicts or disturbances professionally and effectively to maintain a positive atmosphere.
• Provide a positive and welcoming experience for guests of all ages while maintaining composure during difficult interactions.
• Maintain a high level of trust and integrity to promote a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues of all ages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years old or older
• Must be able to work overnight shifts

Job Demands:

• Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs with assistance
• The noise level is generally moderate to high
• Team Members are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather. Depending on the assigned location, work can be almost exclusively outdoors

Schedule:

• Must be available to work at least 4 days per week throughout the peak seasons to include a rotation of mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay:

• $20.91 per hour
