Job summary

Norman Regional is seeking a responsible Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department operations in Oklahoma. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting, with emphasis on teamwork and safety.

Eligible candidates hold a current Oklahoma RN license, a Diploma/ADN (BSN/MSN preferred), and must complete BLS/ACLS during orientation and ongoing retraining. One year of RN experience is preferred, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ADN required; BSN or MSN preferred.
• One year experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
• Current Oklahoma RN license.
• BLS and ACLS training or retraining required during orientation and maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and reassess health care needs across appropriate patient age groups.
• Perform nursing diagnoses and determine outcomes with involvement of patients and families.
• Provide nursing care through interventions guided by evidence-based practice and policies.
• Evaluate patient outcomes using critical thinking and clinical knowledge.
• Serve as department leader alongside/when Nurse Manager is absent; maintain ACLS.
• Oversee bedside handoff at shift changes.
