Job summary

Pensacola, FL-based Charge Nurse - Baptist Emergency Department - Nights seeks an experienced RN to lead the unit on a twelve-hour night shift. You will direct daily patient care, oversee staffing, and ensure timely, quality care per hospital policy.

Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, planning care with families, supervising nursing activities, and maintaining accurate documentation while supporting governance and staff development.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing required or higher.
• Florida RN license or eligible with commitment to licensure transfer.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC and CPI certifications within defined timelines.
• 1-3 years clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose patient and family needs to provide quality care.
• Direct and supervise daily unit activities on assigned shift.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for the healthcare team.
• Lead and monitor patient care flow and unit operations at night.
• Collaborate with nurse manager for performance feedback and governance.
• Ensure knowledge of policies, procedures and scope of service.
