Job summary

The RN Clinical Charge Nurse at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital is scheduled for FT Nights in the Acute Care Medical unit. This leadership role directs daily unit activities, ensures safe, high-quality patient care, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate staffing and patient flow.

You will mentor and precept staff, support evidence-based practice, participate in governance and performance improvement, and model professional nursing standards under Georgia law.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN practicing under Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act.
• Experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Must uphold patient safety and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee unit activities on assigned shift to ensure safe patient care.
• Coordinate staffing, patient flow, and assignments with manager.
• Lead interdisciplinary team and supervise licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to protocols.
• Participate in performance improvement and shared governance.
• Provide precepting or mentoring to new staff.
