Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center is seeking a Certified Central Processing Technician for the Central Sterile Supply department. The role is full-time on the night shift (11PM-7AM), includes weekends rotation, and requires CRCST certification with CER/CSPD experience preferred.

Responsibilities include cleaning, sterilizing and assembling scopes and instruments according to policy, with emphasis on safety and cost-effectiveness in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CRCST certification from IAHCSMM or CBSPD certification is required.
• CER certification and CSPD experience are preferred by the team.

Responsibilities

• Manually clean, reprocess, sterilize and assemble equipment, supplies and instruments.
• Follow established policies to ensure safe, cost-effective processing and patient safety.
• Work under the direction of the department supervisor in a high-volume Central Sterile department.
