Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center seeks a Certified Central Processing Technician for the Central Sterile Supply team working evenings. You will clean, reprocess and assemble medical instruments and scopes in a safe, cost-conscious manner under supervision.

This full-time role runs 3:00pm–11:00pm with rotating weekends and alternating holidays. Candidates should hold CRCST or CBSPD certification (CER is a plus) and a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCST certification from IAHCSMM or CBSPD required.
• CER certification preferred.
• Experience with CSPD and with scopes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manually cleaning and reprocessing scopes following policies under supervision.
• Sterilize and assemble equipment, supplies and instruments using prescribed procedures.
• Maintain safe, cost-effective practices in a high-volume CSPD environment.
