Job summary

Avamere at St Helens is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to assist residents with daily living activities, emotional support, and safety. The role involves helping with bathing, dressing, mobility, meals, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring health, communicating with medical staff, and supporting residents and families. Both full-time night shifts and PRN on-call opportunities are available, with a focus on quality of life for seniors.

Qualifications

• Experience providing daily living assistance and companionship.
• Ability to maintain resident safety and well-being.
• Strong communication and teamwork with staff.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
• Mobility support: assistance with walking and transfers.
• Meal preparation: setting up meals and helping with trays.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment including housekeeping.
• Monitor health, report concerns to caregivers or medical staff.
• Assist with orientation of new residents and staff when assigned.
