Job summary

Trinity Oakland Hospital is seeking a patient care associate for the 12 Hour Night Shift. You will work under the RN to provide sitting services to a designated patient group and support unit governance and care practices.

Responsibilities include helping with ADLs, tray setup and feeding, observing patient conditions, documenting care, and maintaining a clean, safe environment in alignment with Trinity Health values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Strong patient communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs activities of daily living (ADLs) under direction of the RN, including bathing, turning, ambulating, and toileting.
• Provides basic nutritional support such as tray setup, feeding assistance, and communicating intake to RN.
• Demonstrates Relationship-based Care to support therapeutic patient relationships within the care team.
• Maintains a clean, safe patient environment and attends to feeding and comfort needs.
• Reports changes in patient condition to the RN promptly and participates in hand-offs.
• Participates in ongoing education and adheres to hospital policies and revenue management practices.
