Wellstar Health System is seeking a Care Partner to support licensed nurses and the healthcare team in providing compassionate patient care and a positive experience.

The role involves assisting with daily living activities, basic clinical tasks, and collaboration with caregivers to follow the plan of care. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication and teamwork, with healthcare certifications preferred at hire.

Qualifications

• Rising Senior in Good Standing Other / Related Field or High School Diploma / GED General-Preferred
• All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
• BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or
• BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
• Graduation from a State approved program for Certified Nursing Assistants or Patient Care Tech Program Upon Hire Preferred
• Ability to follow detailed directions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication, specifically ability to document.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Excellence in Patient Experience by partnering with health care team, patient and family.
• Provide patient care under the direction of the RN, including hygiene, nutrition, elimination, and comfort measures.
• Assist in direct patient admission and monitor key safety information.
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, physicians, families and visitors using AIDET and chain of command.
• Transport supplies, medications and equipment as assigned and maintain unit supplies.
• Perform audits and participate in unit performance improvement initiatives.
