Job summary

Viterbo University seeks a 3rd Shift Campus Security Officer to protect the campus community, guests, and property, and to identify and report hazards. The role is full-time, permanent, 12-month, hourly, non-exempt, and overtime eligible, working Thursday through Sunday from 8pm to 6am.

Responsibilities include patrols, incident responses, and coordination with outside emergency services. CPR/AED certifications are required or must be obtained within six months.

Qualifications

• Prior security experience preferred.
• CPR/AED certifications required or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Must be able to perform walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Perform foot patrol in campus facilities and grounds to deter crime and protect students, staff, guests, and property.
• Respond to complaints, disturbances, and requests to prevent dangerous situations.
• Investigate incidents, collect evidence, interview witnesses, and write incident reports.
