Job summary

Bethel University is seeking a Staff Security Officer to join the Safety & Security team in St. Paul, MN. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role on the 3rd shift (12am–8am) with a pay range of $23.80–$23.95 per hour.

You will patrol the Bethel campus, enforce policies, assist students, faculty, and guests, and respond to emergencies while maintaining a compassionate, Christ-centered environment. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Must be First Aid/CPR certified or obtain certification immediately upon starting employment.
• Must be Baton, Repuls, and Handcuff certified or obtain certification immediately upon starting employment.

Responsibilities

• Proactively patrol campus to maintain a visible safety presence.
• Enforce university policies and support campus safety.
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls and incidents.
• Write detailed electronic incident reports and assist dispatchers.
• Coordinate with external emergency services when needed.
• Set up safety signs, cones, and barricades for events.
