Job summary

York College of Pennsylvania Inc. is seeking a part-time Campus Safety Dispatcher to handle routine and emergency calls, dispatch campus officers, monitor surveillance systems, and support safety operations on campus. Hours are every other Friday night into Saturday and overnight shifts, requiring calm, professional communication.

The role involves operating ARMS/CAD, coordinating with 911 when necessary, and ensuring accurate logs and records. NAED certification is preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
One year of experience in telecommunications, two-way radio communications, public safety, emergency services or law enforcement is required.
Current NAED Emergency Telecommunicator or similarly recognized certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Dispatch campus officers to routine and emergency calls via two-way radio.
Receive and transfer college safety calls to appropriate departments in a professional manner.
Maintain dispatch logs using the ARMS/CAD system.
Monitor campus video surveillance and other alarm systems.
Assist with fleet reservations and check-in procedures.
Respond to requests via the Spartan Shield App.
Support the Campus Safety Department and Campus Operations Division as needed.
