Job summary

Plano Community Homes is seeking Night Monitors to cover overnight shifts with occasional day work on weekends. The role involves sharing an apartment with a teammate, handling emergencies, and maintaining professional conduct in the community.

You will be eligible for medical and dental coverage, with paid time off accrued every six months, while apartment costs are deducted from gross pay. This position is full-time and requires responsibility for utilities and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be of legal working age.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.
• Must enjoy working with elderly and physically disabled persons.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Must present self maturely, courteously and professionally.
• Must respond quickly to emergencies when on duty.
• Must demonstrate patience, tolerance and a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Issues or willingness to learn and implement.
• Must abide by all policies, rules and apartment lease.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 40 lbs and related physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Work night shifts typically 10:00 pm – 8:00 am on weekdays and 10:00 pm – 9:00 am on Fri/Sat.
• Occasional day shift in the office on weekends when on duty.
• Apartment costs deducted from gross pay; excess pay biweekly.
• NM’s are full-time and eligible for medical and dental coverage.
• No holidays off; accrue 40 hours of paid time off every six months.
• Responsible for apartment payment and utility responsibilities when not on duty.
• Respond to building emergencies and maintain professional conduct in public.
