Job summary

Paycom in Bridgeport, CT seeks a Night Monitor for weekend overnight coverage. You will perform hourly rounds, document communications, manage head counts, and respond to behavioral health needs with crisis intervention as required. Maintain client safety and unit security while coordinating with staff.

Requires an Associate’s degree in behavioral health and at least two years’ related experience; knowledge of confidentiality laws and strong communication. Valid CT driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in behavioral health and at least two years of related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of counseling principles, crisis intervention and proper documentation.
• Understanding of the effects of substance abuse, homelessness, medical and mental health disorders on clients.
• Knowledge of federal and state confidentiality laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform hourly rounds of the unit, including third and fourth floors.
• Tend to the needs of the unit and residents, ensuring safety and security.
• Document communications in Night Shift Log Book and related charts as required.
• Redirect inappropriate behavior with supportive counseling when indicated.
• Conduct head counts and verify census accuracy.
• Assist with laundry and chart preparation as assigned by supervisor.
