Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Bellperson for the Hilton Short Hills in Short Hills, NJ. You will assist guests, help with luggage and explain hotel facilities, contributing to a memorable guest experience.

This night shift role runs Thursday and Friday from 10:30pm to 7am. We offer employee discounts, staff meals, and a unionized position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Able to meet appearance standards and present well.
• Able to transport up to 30 lbs and assist guests as needed.

Responsibilities

• Show guests to rooms and assist with luggage.
• Explain hotel facilities, hours of operation, and answer questions.
• Check luggage for day and overnight guests.
• Maintain the lobby/bellstand area and stay available to guests across shifts.
• Open doors and greet guests warmly.
• Maintain cleanliness of bellstand, lobby and baggage room.
• Communicate openly across shifts and with team members.
• Follow attendance rules and be available for regular shifts.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

• Candidate must be able to work Thursday and Friday from 10:30pm to 7am.

Here is what you will be doing:

• Show guests to room assisting them with their luggage.
• Explain all hotel facilities, their location in the hotel, hours of operation, and answer all questions about these facilities and other hotel questions.
• Check luggage for hotel guests both for day and overnight.
• Maintain the designated station in the lobby, standing alert to be easily summoned for fronts.
• Open doors and greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the bellstand, lobby and baggage room.
• Maintain an open communication line through all shifts
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Ability to meet standards of appearance. Can communicate well with guests. Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co workers with their job duties and be a team player.
