Job summary

Amatus Health seeks a Behavioral Health Technician for the 3rd shift (12:00 AM – 8:00 AM) to support clients through admissions, daily routines, and safety within a recovery program.

You will collaborate with the clinical team, monitor wellbeing, de-escalate situations, and help maintain a calm, respectful environment.

This role emphasizes communication, accountability, and compassionate care in a dynamic behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of experience in the mental health field or related college coursework (preferred).
• Strong commitment to maintaining a safe environment.
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients.
• Assist with admissions, orientations, and intake processes.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication during client admissions.
• Complete accurate and timely shift reports and checklists.
• Facilitate orientation groups and support client engagement.
• De-escalate situations and assist clients experiencing challenges, including those leaving treatment AMA/ACA.
• Maintain awareness of client whereabouts through regular headcounts.
• Monitor family visits to ensure safety and compliance.
• Support medical staff during medication pass (if applicable).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all facilities and common areas.
• Participate in scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
• Exercise sound judgment and seek support when needed; Protect client confidentiality.
