Job summary

Amatus Health in New Hampshire is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician for the 12:00 AM–8:00 AM shift. You will support clients through admissions and intake while coordinating with the clinical team to ensure safety and smooth daily routines.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, some mental health experience, and a professional demeanor with a strong work ethic. You will help monitor wellbeing, report changes, and maintain clean, organized facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of mental health experience or related coursework preferred.
• Maintain a safe environment.
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients.
• Assist with admissions, orientations, and intake processes.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication during client admissions.
• Complete accurate and timely shift reports and checklists.
• Facilitate orientation groups and support client engagement.
• De-escalate situations and assist clients experiencing challenges, including those leaving treatment AMA/ACA.
• Maintain awareness of client whereabouts through regular headcounts.
• Monitor family visits to ensure safety and compliance.
• Support medical staff during medication pass (if applicable).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all facilities and common areas.
• Participate in scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
• Exercise sound judgment and seek support when needed.
• Protect client confidentiality in compliance with all federal, state, and organizational privacy standards.
