Job summary

Roxbury Treatment Center in Shippensburg, PA seeks a Mental Health Technician to join a dedicated behavioral health team. You will provide continuous patient care under RN supervision, monitor safety, run groups, and model therapeutic behavior on adolescents through geriatrics.

This full-time role requires work on the unit’s night shift (10:30pm–7:00am) with every other weekend rotation, and offers benefits and a $1000 sign-on bonus for qualifying full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a psychology-related field is highly preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License with safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Monitors unit milieu and helps to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
• Leads activity groups for patients according to the program schedule.
• Conducts patient observation rounds throughout the shift to ensure safety.
• Works collaboratively with unit nursing staff on patient care activities.
• Responds to patient crisis events accordingly using de-escalation techniques.
