Job summary

Price-Chopper is seeking a Battery Maintenance Technician to service and replace batteries for material handling equipment. You will perform cleaning, watering, charging, and routine inspections to maximize battery life and equipment uptime.

Requirements include being at least 18, possessing a forklift operator license, and maintaining high safety standards. You will join a team focused on safe, efficient warehouse operations and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Forklift Operator's license required.
Satisfactory performance reviews.
Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Change material handling equipment batteries in accordance with schedule.
Service and clean material handling equipment batteries, including watering and charging, per manufacturer specifications, OSHA regulations, and company policies and procedures.
Repair DC cables and connectors on batteries and chargers as needed.
Assist battery maintenance and Equipment Maintenance Mechanic with repairs or service.
Retrieve parts and materials for repair of equipment.
Clean and maintain the equipment maintenance area after each repair or service.
Adhere to safety policies and promote safe practices at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned by management and adhere to company policies.
