The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee is seeking a part-time front desk agent to greet guests, handle overnight registrations, answer calls, and process reservations with a warm, professional demeanor.

You will balance daily revenue, maintain cash control, coordinate with housekeeping, and support front office and accounting teams while ensuring safety and guest satisfaction. This role offers competitive pay and growth opportunities within Marcus Hotels & Resorts.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Basic math and accounting procedures understanding.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and use sound judgment.

• Hospitality, customer service, or accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register guests with warmth and professionalism for overnight check-in.
• Handle guest transactions, answer calls, process reservations, and provide courteous service.
• Balance and reconcile daily revenue from rooms, spa, restaurants, and bars.
• Back up computer systems, reindex data files, and ensure records are accurate and secure.
• Deposit credit card transactions and process no-shows, charges, and cancellations.
• Maintain cash control and deposits according to policy.
• Monitor safety, security, and cleanliness of front desk and lobby overnight.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness and resolve issues.
• Address guest concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
• Complete shift reports and checklists; support Front Office and Accounting teams.

What you will be doing

• Greet and register guests with a warm and professional demeanor, ensuring a smooth overnight check-in experience.
• Perform guest transactions, answer telephone inquiries, process reservations, and provide courteous service throughout the night.
• Balance and reconcile daily revenue from rooms, spa, restaurants, and bars.
• Back up computer systems, reindex data files, and ensure all records are accurate and secure.
• Deposit all credit card transactions and process no-shows, charges, and cancellations.
• Maintain accurate cash control, balancing drawers and ensuring deposits are made according to policy.
• Monitor safety, security, and cleanliness of the front desk and lobby areas overnight.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness and resolve any issues.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism, escalating when necessary.
• Complete required shift reports and checklists.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Front Office and Accounting teams.

Position Requirements

• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Thorough understanding of basic math and accounting procedures.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and use sound judgment while managing multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and occasionally lift/carry up to 25 lbs.
• Previous hospitality, customer service, or accounting experience preferred.
