Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners' DoubleTree Alpharetta is hiring a Night Auditor for a part-time schedule. You will close out daily revenues, balance front desk and food & beverage accounts, and prepare nightly reports while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires high school education, 6–12 months in hospitality or office work, solid computer and cash handling skills, and a guest-service oriented demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Six to twelve months of employment in related position or office setting.
• Accounting or hospitality experience a bonus.
• Excellent computer and cash handling skills, ability to stand for extended periods, and a guest service–oriented demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Audit, balance and report on cash and credit operations for outlets and other accounts.
• Reconcile cashier reports with the restaurant system and resolve unresolved tickets.
• Balance and post front desk room charges, deposits and taxes, and prepare reports.
• Prepare and transmit nightly management and accounting reports and supporting documents.
• Act as hotel system liaison during night hours and assist with guest services as needed.

If you're someone who notices the little things and strives to make a lasting impact, you'll thrive here.Please visit http://www.valorhospitality.com to learn more about our existing hotels, other exciting job opportunities and our company.**POSITION PROFILE**Responsible for performing close of day scenarios for the hotel Guest Service area and account for daily activity by organizing and verifying information; identifying and correcting discrepancies; posting accounts; running and distributing daily reports.**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILTIES*** Audit, balance and report on all food and beverage outlets' (e.g. restaurant, lounges, banquets, room service) cash and credit operations to include but not limited to checks, over/short figures/tally sheets, deposits, counts, house charges, promotional materials, postings, etc. And reset all registers to ensure accurate, timely information.* Follow all specified procedures to reconcile cashier's reports with the restaurant system each night, researching and posting any unresolved tickets from the day shifts.* Follow all specified procedures to maintain and post a daily balance of all house accounts, including running preliminary reconciliations, detail transactions and final reports to accounting.* Audit, balance, post and report on the front desk to include but not limited to; room charges, phone calls, zero balance folios, corrections, adjustments, taxes, disputed charges, over/short figures, deposits, etc. To ensure accuracy and verify proper cash handling procedures are followed.* Audit, balance and prepare, verify and report on Room information to provide rooms management with a picture of how they are performing.* Prepare and input statistics and income journal sheets for preparation of daily reports. Produce accurate and timely reports and correctly handle all cash transactions.* Balance and audit for accuracy room revenue, food and beverage revenue, cashier's reports, and guest and house accounts and telephone revenue; assisting the preparation of all reports relevant to daily revenues. Balance and close all bank ticket codes, daily.* Transmit credit card batches.* Run night audit final after ensuring all revenues are in balance nightly.* Complete and transmit daily management and accounting reports and supporting documents.* Act as hotel system liaison during night hours.* Perform all Guest Service Representative functions as required; may assists in booking room reservations; may assist in answering hotel phone calls and notifying guests of message.* Perform any other duties as designated.**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES*** High school education or equivalent experience.* Six to twelve months of employment in related position or office setting with this company or other organization.
