Job summary

The Cape Fox Lodge in Alaska is seeking a dependable Night Auditor responsible for posting room charges, tax and end-of-day reports, and preparing daily accounting reports. This role includes closing in-house accounts on month-end and supporting front-desk operations.

You will greet guests, register and assign rooms, transmit messages, and collect payments while maintaining accurate guest and room records and supporting housekeeping and maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Close out business day for hotel and restaurant.
• Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.
• Verify customers' credit, and establish how the customer will pay for the accommodation.
• Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts, manually or using computers.
• Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.
• Print computer generated accounting reports daily.
• Balance all accounts in the transactional detail report.
• Print start of day reports such as the arrivals list, departure report, daily work sheets, etc.
• Print incoming registration cards.
