Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Night Auditor to balance nightly financials and manage front desk operations during the overnight shift. Responsibilities include guest check-in/out, answering inquiries, and ensuring smooth nighttime hotel operations with a focus on accuracy and service quality.

The role requires strong numerical ability, attention to detail, and proficient computer skills with hotel management software. Prior accounting experience is a plus and the position involves weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Experience in accounting or bookkeeping is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Balance nightly revenue and expenses from hotel transactions.
• Check guests in and out with proper room assignments.
• Handle guest inquiries and provide local information.
• Prepare and distribute daily management reports.
• Monitor hotel security during the night and respond to issues.
• Process cash and card transactions and post to guest accounts.
• Communicate with the next shift and management about issues.
• Maintain front desk cleanliness and organization.
• Provide wake-up calls and other guest services as needed.
• Troubleshoot hotel equipment and systems and escalate as necessary.
