Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality, accounting, or business degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in hotel front desk operations, accounting, or customer service.
• Proficiency with hotel systems (PMS) and night audit software.
• No travel required; may assist at nearby properties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage front desk operations during the overnight shift.
• Check in late-arriving guests and assist with early departures as needed.
• Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain a welcoming, safe, and service-oriented environment for all guests.
• Perform end-of-day accounting procedures, including balancing guest accounts and reconciling transactions.
• Audit and verify all daily financial activities, including room charges, payments, and adjustments.
• Generate, review, and distribute daily financial and operational reports.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial records and postings.
• Maintain accurate records within the property management system (PMS).
• Identify and report discrepancies or irregularities in financial data.
• Monitor hotel safety and security during overnight hours.
• Follow emergency procedures and report incidents in accordance with company standards.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to address overnight guest needs or issues.
• Prepare the hotel for the next day’s operations, ensuring a smooth transition for morning staff.
• Communicate key updates, issues, and reports to management and incoming shifts.
