Job summary

The Night Audit position at St. Joe Company / St. Joe Resort Operations in Santa Rosa Beach, FL is a full-time role within the hotel's front office and accounting operations.

You will post room charges and taxes, balance daily transactions, and prepare a summary of cash, checks and credit card activity for the day. You will also verify postings, ensure accurate room rates, run the end-of-day process in the PMS, and assist guests at the front desk during check-in and check-out while maintaining

Qualifications

• Sufficient education and literacy to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests.
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English.
• Previously hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post room charges and taxes to guest accounts.
• Process guest charges vouchers and credit card vouchers.
• Post charges to the guest accounts that have not been posted or were incurred on the night audit shift.
• Verify all account postings and balances.
• Verify that room rates are correct and post those rates to guest accounts.
• Understand principles of auditing, balancing, and losing out accounts.
• Balance the day’s charges, making corrections as necessary.
• Run end of day process in property management software (PMS).
• Prepares a summary of cash, check, and credit card activities.
• Summarizes results of operations for management.
• Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy, and record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information.
• Serve as a front desk agent especially in terms of check-in and check-out procedures.
• Respond to guest needs, special requests and complaints and alert the appropriate manager as needed.
• Maintain complete knowledge of emergency procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.
