Job summary

Leech Lake Gaming in Minnesota is seeking a Night Audit Clerk to audit daily hotel transactions, balance cash and credit card activity, and prepare hotel and accounting reports.

You will post night audit charges, close out cashier activity, register guests, check out guests, and maintain records while delivering excellent guest service. This role requires basic accounting, computer skills, and adherence to tribal policies.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in accounting/bookkeeping and cash handling.
• Computer skills for word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
• Certificates/licensing as required by tribal/state rules.

Responsibilities

• Balance hotel daily transactions and makes adjustments as needed.
• Balance credit card transactions and makes adjustments as needed.
• Process required reports for Hotel manager and Accounting Department.
• Post night audit charges and closes out the cashier/transactions for the day.
• Balance Manager’s reports.
• Register Guests and assigns room manually while in night audit function.
• Check out Guests and receives all room payments.
• Administers wake-up calls.
• Maintains all related records.
• Answers phones and provides excellent guest service.
• Responds to guests’ inquiries when needed items.
• Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
• Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times.
• Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
• Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
• Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
