At Hyatt House Virginia Beach Oceanfront, we are seeking an energetic part-time night auditor to delight our guests!

Overview

The Front Desk Night Clerk will serve as an ambassador to the hotel, handling check-ins and check-outs, answering calls, and maintaining Guest Service Standards. Responsibilities include nightly accounting and assisting housekeeping during the midnight shift. The role involves computing, classifying, and recording financial data, performing routine calculations, postings, and verifications to maintain accurate records. The position may also involve checking the accuracy of figures related to business transactions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Resolve guest complaints ensuring satisfaction.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel features, room types, rates, and daily operations.
• Monitor cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Manage cash bank, process payments, and adjustments.
• Operate Property Management System and secure system data.
• Verify and correct reports, reconcile accounts, and audit charges.
• Perform end-of-day procedures, backup data, and prepare reports.
• Complete work orders, review assignments, and coordinate with supervisors.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as needed.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of relevant hotel experience.
• Ability to work overnight shifts (11 pm - 7 am).
• Basic computer skills required.
