Job description

The Night Auditor is responsible for the preparation and disposition of all Night Audit work. Responsible for the front desk operation during the overnight shift (Typically 11pm-7am). Primary responsibilities include: registering guests, making reservations, preparing daily reports, balancing transactions, and conducting security walks.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

1. At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field required.
2. High School diploma or equivalent required.
3. College coursework in related field helpful.
4. Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
5. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
6. Knowledge of Accounting Principles.
7. Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve guest issues and respond to emergencies.
8. Proficiency in Windows operating systems, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
9. Effective communication skills.
10. Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
11. Work well under stress and in high-pressure situations.
12. Ability to handle workplace problems proactively.
13. Capacity to assimilate complex information and adapt as needed.
14. Understanding of financial data and basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities:

1. Approach all guest and staff interactions in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
2. Maintain attendance as per Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
3. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
4. Comply with all standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations.
5. Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor.
6. Initiate and complete the End of Day process.
7. Run reports for Food and Beverage audit.
8. Complete the Night Audit checklist daily.
9. Balance the day's work, including revenue and paperwork.
10. Maintain cashiering responsibilities.
11. Operate Front Office computer systems according to standards.
12. Perform all Front Office functions during the overnight shift.
13. Ensure security checks of building and guest areas.
14. Handle guest requests during shift.
15. Follow safety and emergency procedures.
16. Keep proper records.
17. Familiarize with hotel policies and house rules.
18. Manage direct bills and attach backup documentation.
19. Maintain radio contact with team members.
20. Understand security procedures.
21. Ensure staff are attentive, friendly, and helpful.
22. Prepare and distribute reports as needed.
23. Transfer accounts as necessary.
24. Distribute work and train new Night Auditors.
25. Run morning reports.
26. Assign tasks such as newspaper delivery.
27. Ensure completion of nightly walk-through and other property-specific duties.
28. Handle Lost and Found items according to standards.
29. Complete reports and miscellaneous duties as required.
30. Assist guests with food orders and service if applicable.
31. Attend meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation ranges from USD $16.25 to $24.38 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
