Location: Hotel Erwin - VENICE, CA

Salary Range: $24.00 - $26.00 Hourly

Description

Primary Mission

Greet and register guests, provide excellent service, settle accounts, and support the front desk operations. The role typically involves a third-shift schedule but may vary based on operational needs.

Scope of Work & Team
  • Reports to the Front Office Manager, Night Manager, or Accounting Manager.
  • Supports front office, sales, and guest experience teams.
Responsibilities
  • Register guests, manage reservations, assist with concierge duties.
  • Know hotel features, services, and room details.
  • Maintain positive guest relations, anticipate needs, respond promptly.
  • Process check-ins, verify reservations, and manage guest accounts.
  • Handle guest requests, complaints, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain organized work area, manage cash and bank security.
  • Communicate with previous shift, answer calls, and process end-of-day reports.
Qualifications

Experience: At least 1 year in front desk or night audit roles, hospitality or administrative background preferred.

IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, basic Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and hotel management systems (OPERA preferred). Typing speed of 50 WPM, bilingual skills a plus.

Education: High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.

Other Skills: Calm demeanor, positive attitude, energetic, service-oriented, detail-focused, team player, multitasker, excellent communication, discretion, and confidentiality.

Additional Expectations
  • Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and work hours.
  • Travel as needed for training and meetings.
