Job summary

Holiday Inn Express – Portland is seeking a Night Auditor to manage nightly revenue balancing and guest assistance during overnight hours.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in hospitality or customer service preferred.
  • Strong attention to details and organizational skills.
  • Experience handling cash, credit card procedures, and basic math.
  • Able to work overnight, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Review all guaranteed arrivals and verify that credit cards are valid.
  • Check in and check out guests efficiently and courteously.
  • Explain and provide promotional items to guests at check-in.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries or complaints and offer alternatives.
  • Complete nightly audit procedures to balance revenue and reconcile accounts.
  • Cover other hotel areas as needed, including breakfast setup and lobby upkeep.
  • Document guest accidents or incidents using appropriate report forms.
  • Record maintenance issues and safety concerns in the maintenance log.
  • Maintain a clean, organized front desk area.
  • Greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
  • Ensure compliance with IHG brand and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position: Night Auditor

Responsibilities
  • Review all guaranteed arrivals and verify that all credit cards are valid by running numbers not already in-house
  • Check in and check out guests efficiently and courteously
  • Explain and provide any promotional items to each guest checking in
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries or complaints and offer alternate solutions when appropriate
  • Complete nightly audit procedures to balance daily revenue and reconcile accounts
  • Cover other hotel areas as needed, including breakfast setup, lobby upkeep, or guest assistance
  • Document guest accidents or incidents using the appropriate report forms
  • Record maintenance issues and safety concerns in the maintenance log
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area
  • Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • Ensure compliance with all IHG brand and company policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Previous Hospitality or Customer Service Experience Preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Experience handling cash, credit card procedures, and basic math concepts
  • Proficient in multitasking and problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
