Job summary

Tharaldson Hospitality Management is seeking a Night Auditor for the Newark Staybridge Suites, Newark, CA. You will welcome guests, handle cash and daily transactions, and ensure the front desk is ready for the new day.

This overnight position offers competitive pay, daily pay option, employee hotel discounts, plus comprehensive benefits for eligible associates as part of a growing hospitality network.

Qualifications

• 6 months – 1+ year of Night Audit experience preferred.
• Ability to work overnight shifts and flexible schedule.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; professional and calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Maintain accurate cash, checks, and credit transaction records.
• Verify room charges and ensure starting cash is correct.
• Prepare daily occupancy reports, guest lists, cash drawer summaries, and balance sheets.
• Perform duties of a Guest Service Agent including laundry functions as directed.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Keeps accurate accounts of cash, checks and credit transactions
• Handles confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity
• Verifies room charges and rates; verifies register has appropriate starting cash
• Manages daily paperwork including occupancy report, guest list, cash drawer summary, balance sheet, account summary, history file, and housekeeping report
• Submits reports to corporate office as appropriate
• Blocks rooms and handles guest requests
• Performs and documents security walks on a regular basis
• Has a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and implementation of procedures
• Prepares continental breakfast on time; replenishes breakfast items as needed
• Performs duties of a Guest Service Agent, including laundry functions as directed
• May be required to make management decisions in manager’s absence
• All other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• 6 months – 1+ year of Night Audit experience preferred
• Desire to work overnight shifts

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to remain professional and calm when handling guest concerns.
• Ability to handle confidential guest information with integrity.
• Basic computer and cash-handling skills.
• Reliable and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to keep accurate accounts of cash, checks and credit transactions
• Ability to manage and keep accurate accounts of cash, checks and credit transactions
• Passionate about hospitality and creating an exceptional guest experience.
• All other duties as assigned.
