The Night Auditor is responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This highly visible role provides opportunities for casual conversations and directly impacts the guest experience. Duties may include processing payments and responding to guest inquiries. As a Front Office Associate, you will be the face of Thompson Dallas, serving as a great entry point into the upscale hotel and hospitality industry. This is an overnight position requiring financial acumen for closing the previous day's books.

• Proficiency in calculator use for preparing moderately complex mathematical calculations accurately.
• Ability to effectively handle internal and external customer interactions with patience, tact, and diplomacy to resolve conflicts and defuse anger.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the front office while performing essential functions.
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to access and input information accurately using a moderately complex computer system.
• Hearing and visual acuity to observe and detect emergency situations.
• Equivalent to high school graduation or a combination of education, training, or experience providing the necessary skills and knowledge.
• Must meet minimum bonding standards.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).
• Utilize Hyatt selling skills to describe and upsell premium room products and hotel services during check-in.

Qualifications

- College degree preferred or at least 2 years of similar experience.

- Required to work overnight shifts, typically from 11 pm to 7:30 am.

- Experience in luxury, lifestyle, or upscale hotels preferred.

- Background in accounting or finance is a plus.
