Role Description

The Night Auditor is a full-time, on-site role located at Hyatt Place Colorado Springs/Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, CO. This position is responsible for balancing and reconciling the hotel’s daily financial transactions, preparing end-of-day reports, and ensuring accurate posting of room charges and payments. Day-to-day tasks include performing front desk duties such as check-in and check-out, handling reservations, responding to guest inquiries, and addressing guest needs during overnight hours. The Night Auditor also manages cash handling procedures, monitors lobby and hotel security, and maintains a clean, organized front desk area. This role collaborates with other hotel departments to ensure a smooth transition between night and day shifts and consistent guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform receptionist duties and front desk operations, including check-in, check-out, and guest inquiries.
• Experience handling reservations, room assignments, and booking modifications accurately and efficiently.
• Strong communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
• Proficient cash handling skills, including processing payments, balancing cash drawers, and following financial procedures.
• Attention to detail and basic accounting or auditing skills for reconciling daily transactions and preparing reports.
• Comfort working overnight shifts and maintaining alertness and reliability throughout the night.
• Ability to use hotel management systems and general computer applications; prior hotel or hospitality experience is beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in hospitality, accounting, or customer service is a plus.
