Job summary

The Saguaro Austin seeks a dynamic Night Auditor to join our hospitality team. You will greet guests, manage night operations, and ensure accurate billing while maintaining smooth shift transitions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 3 years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Collaborative spirit.
• Ethical conduct.
• Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office, Opera PMS.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest promptly with a smile and maintain eye contact.
• Establish and maintain good communications with colleagues and departments.
• Handle guest interactions with high hospitality and professionalism.
• Check-in guests, assign room type, and ensure correct rates.
• Settle guest bills accurately.
• Balance the cash drawer and exchange currency as needed.
• Reconcile all transactions at the close of each shift.
• Create a friendly, comfortable atmosphere with gracious hospitality.
• Accept reservations, changes, and cancellations in the absence of staff.
• Address guest inquiries promptly and guide to the appropriate department.
• Understand fire/safety procedures and assist during emergencies.
• Participate in scheduled departmental and other meetings.

We are seeking a dynamic Night Auditor to join our team. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.

*$500 Sign-On Bonus*

Responsibilities

1. Greet every guest promptly with a smile and maintain eye contact
2. Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
3. Handle all guest interactions, in person and over the phone, with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible, resolve customer complaints, assist customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.
4. Check in guests, assure that guest is assigned type of room requested and the correct rate is charged.
5. Settle guest bills accurately
6. Maintain a balanced bank assigned by the hotel and make change, cash checks, exchange foreign currency as needed
7. Reconcile all transactions at the close of each shift
8. Create a friendly, comfortable and helpful atmosphere for guests that demonstrate the highest standards for gracious hospitality
9. Accept reservations, changes and cancellations in the absence of Reservations Department Staff
10. Handle guest inquiries in a prompt and courteous manner, whether personally or by introducing the guest to the appropriate department
11. Understand all fire/safety procedures and provide necessary assistance to guests and employees in the event of an emergency
12. Participate in scheduled departmental meetings and all other relevant meetings as requested
