The Night Auditor is responsible for the preparation and disposition of all Night Audit work. Responsible for the front desk operation during the overnight shift (Typically 11pm-7am). Primary responsibilities include: registering guests, making reservations, preparing daily reports, balancing transactions, and conducting security walks.

QUALIFICATIONS :
- At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field required.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- College coursework in related field helpful.
- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
- Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of Accounting Principles.
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot guest issues and emergency situations.
- Proficiency in Windows OS, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative actions quickly and accurately.
- Ability to work well under stress and in high-pressure situations.
- Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to assimilate complex information from various sources and adapt as needed.
- Understanding of financial data and basic arithmetic.
- Ability to work in a self-managed environment.
- Good listening skills and ability to clarify concerns.

Responsibilities
- Approach all guest and staff interactions in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance as per hotel standards.
- Maintain personal appearance and grooming standards.
- Comply with all hotel standards and regulations for safety and efficiency.
- Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
- Initiate and complete the End of Day process.
- Run required reports for audits and daily operations.
- Complete the Night Audit checklist daily.
- Balance daily transactions and revenue.
- Maintain cashiering responsibilities and Front Office system operation.
- Perform all Front Office functions during shift hours (11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.).
- Ensure security checks and guest request follow-up.
- Follow safety and emergency procedures.
- Keep accurate records and logs.
- Understand hotel policies and house rules.
- Handle initial direct billing and document backup.
- Maintain radio communication with staff.
- Ensure staff attentiveness and courteousness.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports.
- Manage account transfers and work distribution.
- Train new Night Auditors as needed.
- Run morning reports and manage guest communications.
- Conduct nightly walk-throughs and handle Lost and Found items.
- Complete additional reports and duties as required.
- Assist guests with food orders and service if applicable.
- Attend meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
