Job summary

Pueblo of Sandia is seeking a Night Auditor to balance and post daily transactions, greet and register guests, and close out accounts. This role supports front desk activities and contributes to accurate reporting from the Property Management System.

Ideal candidates will have 1 year of cash handling or accounting experience, a high school diploma or GED, and strong English communication skills. The position is on-site at the Albuquerque area hotel.

Responsibilities

  • Verifies and balances accounts and posting entries from hotel departments.
  • Balances cashier's Daily Activity Reports and consolidates daily reports from PMS.
  • Runs night audit reports and generates required PMS reports.
  • May serve as Front Desk Clerk handling reservations and guest check-ins/outs.
  • Provides courteous service and handles guest charges and payments accurately.

Position SummaryThe Night Auditor will balance and post all daily paperwork and charges for the hotel in a timely and efficient manner. The incumbent will greet and register guests, provide prompt and courteous service, and close out guest accounts upon completion of stay.Our philosophy is built on the principles of integrity, fairness, collaboration, communication, and recognition for performance excellence. Meeting all performance standards leads to attracting and retaining a qualified workforce, provide opportunities for qualified team members, and contribute towards the ongoing success at Pueblo of Sandia today and in the future.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesVerifies and balances all accounts posting entries and records of financial transactions reported by various hotel departments during day.Performs a wide range of clerical and service duties such as computer data entry and supporting Front desk clerks as needed.Verifies and reconciles the accuracy of all cashier's Daily Activity Reports, compiling the day's shift reports into a Consolidated Daily Activity Report from Property Management System (PMS) computerized reports.Responsible for running night audit reports plus all required property management system reports, generating and maintaining any required or requested reports.May function as a Front Desk Clerk, responsible for taking room reservations and cancellations, checking guests in and out, and providing information regarding activities, service charges, room availability, etc., on an as needed basis.Provides courteous, cheerful service and assistance to guests to ensure their comfort and well-being.Accepts payments and accounts for change fund and money received by following established cash handling procedures.Maintains strict control and accountability of cash funds on hand, cash received and accurate accounting for charges.Ensures guests are informed of charges relating to their stay on property.Builds a professional relationship with all team members and internal/external contact while supporting a strong collaborative work environment.Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned scheduled each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia.Additional ResponsibilitiesPerform other job-related duties as assigned.A quality guest service experience is an essential component for all Team members working at the Pueblo of Sandia particularly those positions assigned to work in all public areas.Team members in this capacity:Serves as the initial point of contact for guest inquiries in a courteous and attentive manner.Reflects a sense of trust, comfort and understanding by demonstrating empathy for guests when problems occur.Resolves all issues in a timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
