Job summary

The Pueblo of Sandia is seeking a Senior Night Auditor in Albuquerque, NM to balance and post daily charges, greet and register guests, and ensure accurate guest billing. You will support front desk operations and maintain strict cash handling controls in a resort hotel environment.

This full-time graveyard shift role requires attention to detail, strong auditing skills, and leadership to supervise night audit staff while delivering excellent guest service and ensuring compliance with attendance

Qualifications

  • 21+ years of age.
  • Three (3) years experience in cash handling, reconciliation, accounting and/or auditing.
  • One (1) year of experience in night audit.
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises night audit personnel, including the allocation of work, scheduling, training, and resolving problems with various audits.
  • Verifies and balances all account posting entries and records of financial transactions reported by various hotel departments during day.
  • Performs clerical duties such as computer data entry and supporting Front desk clerks as needed.
  • Verifies and reconciles the accuracy of all cashier's Daily Activity Reports and consolidates daily reports from the PMS.
  • Runs night audit reports and all required PMS reports; generates and maintains reports as requested.
  • May function as Front Desk Clerk, handling reservations, check-ins/check-outs, and guest information as needed.
  • Provides courteous service and maintains cash-handling accuracy and accountability.
  • Ensures guests are informed of charges and maintains proper cash handling procedures.
  • Reports to work as scheduled per Pueblo Sandia Attendance Policy.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Senior Night Auditor will accurately balance and post all daily paperwork and charges for the hotel in a timely and efficient manner. The incumbent will greet and register guests, provide prompt and courteous service, and close out guest accounts upon completion of stay.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervises night audit personnel, which includes the allocation of work, scheduling, training, and resolving problems with various audits.
  • Verifies and balances all account posting entries and records of financial transactions reported by various hotel departments during day.
  • Performs a wide range of clerical and service duties such as computer data entry and supporting Front desk clerks as needed.
  • Verifies and reconciles the accuracy of all cashier's Daily Activity Reports, compiling the day's shift reports into a Consolidated Daily Activity Report from Property Management System (PMS) computerized reports.
  • Responsible for running night audit reports plus all required property management system reports, generating and maintaining any required or requested reports.
  • May function as a Front Desk Clerk, responsible for taking room reservations and cancellations, checking guests in and out, and providing information regarding activities, service charges, room availability, etc., on an as needed basis.
  • Provides courteous, cheerful service and assistance to guests to ensure their comfort and well-being.
  • Accepts payments and accounts for change fund and money received by following established cash handling procedures.
  • Maintains strict control and accountability of cash funds on hand, cash received and accurate accounting for charges.
  • Ensures guests are informed of charges relating to their stay on property.
  • Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned scheduled each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia.

  • General knowledge and skills of hotel/motel operations including reservation systems, property management systems, occupancy utilization, procedures, and general business practices.

  • Must be knowledgeable in Excel and Windows based software.

  • Ability to supervise and provide technical training to the night audit staff.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Three (3) Year experience in cash handling, reconciliation, accounting and/or auditing.
  • One (1) year of experience in night audit
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

Note: Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy education and/or work experience.

License/Certifications/Registrations
  • Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
  • Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.
