theWit Hotel in Chicago is seeking a Night Audit Supervisor to oversee overnight front office operations, supervise the Night Audit team, and ensure accurate financial reporting while delivering warm, personalized service.

You will balance revenue, handle VIP arrivals, coordinate with Security, Housekeeping, Engineering and other departments, and maintain internal controls. This nonexempt, full-time role requires overnight shifts and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in hotel front office or night audit.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with hotel property management systems (OnQ preferred).
• Strong understanding of hotel accounting, auditing, and cash handling.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support Night Auditors and overnight Front Office team members.
• Ensure overnight operations follow hotel standards and procedures.
• Coach overnight staff; document performance and attendance; escalate as needed.
• Send shift reports detailing operational updates to morning leadership.
• Maintain a guest-focused culture, provide exceptional service, and resolve issues.
• Handle escalated guest issues and service recovery.
• Monitor overnight activity to ensure safety and security.
• Manage VIP arrivals, late check-ins, room changes, and special requests.
• Coordinate with Security, Housekeeping, Engineering and other departments.
• Oversee nightly audit and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Balance revenue transactions, room charges, settlements, and deposits.
• Review reconciliations; maintain internal controls and end-of-day reporting.
• Identify and report financial discrepancies to leadership and accounting.
• Maintain Hilton brand standards and compliance with policies/regulations.
• Ensure overnight staff follow safety procedures and emergency protocols.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents; coordinate with on-call leaders; document.

This leadership role is responsible for supervising the Night Audit team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, providing exceptional guest service, and maintaining the safety and security of the hotel overnight. The Night Audit Supervisor serves as the primary point of contact for guests and team members during the night shift while supporting the hotel's operational and financial goals.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupervise and support Night Auditors and overnight Front Office team members.Ensure all overnight operations are completed in accordance with hotel standards and procedures.Provide day-to-day coaching and guidance to overnight Front Office team members; document performance, attendance, or conduct concerns and refer matters requiring formal action to Front Office leadership and Human Resources.
