Job summary

Residence Inn Birmingham Downtown at UAB is hiring a Night Auditor to ensure financial controls and hotel standards are met. You will coordinate with Security and Housekeeping to deliver quality service and balance revenue and settlements nightly.

The role requires basic math, 10-key input, strong communication, and the ability to work on a moderately complex front office system. Hotel experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform accurate calculations using a 10-key pad.
• Ability to input information using a moderately complex front office computer system.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with guests and colleagues.
• Hotel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily Restaurant Revenue Report data by auditing tapes/journals to breakdown revenue, covers, tips, and settlements.
• Run audit reports/journals from the front office system and related peripherals.
• Make corrections/adjustments and resolve computer problems during shift.
• Input revenue/expenses/allowances to generate daily reports (Guest Ledger Summary, Daily Restaurant Summary).
• Balance revenue and settlement accounts nightly and reset systems for next day.
