Job summary

The Alexandrian Old Town Alexandria, Autograph Collection is seeking a Front Desk Clerk/Night Audit professional to help audit, balance, and report on hotel cash and credit operations across outlets and front desk. You will respond to guest inquiries with accuracy and courtesy, ensuring smooth reservations and guest experiences.

Responsibilities include processing check-ins/outs, maintaining daily room statistics, and assisting with nightly audit procedures.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Accounting background preferred, but not required.
• Ability to operate personal computer, cash register and calculator.
• Telephone and guest relations etiquette and skills.
• Moderate hearing required to communicate with guests.
• Excellent vision required for viewing of CRT screen.
• Excellent speech communication skills required to communicate with guests over the telephone.

Responsibilities

• Audit, balance and report on all food and beverage outlets cash and credit operations to include checks, over/short figures, deposits, counts, house charges, postings, etc.
• Audit, balance, post and report on the front desk including room charges, phone calls, taxes, deposits, etc.
• Audit, balance and prepare, verify and report on Room information for daily reports.
• Balance and close all bank ticket codes, daily.
• Run night audit final after revenues are in balance nightly.
• Greet and complete check-in procedures for arriving guests daily.
• Assist guest departure through check-out procedures and close guest accounts.
• Maintain good customer relations with timely and knowledgeable responses.
