The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in a social services field (or RN), has supervisory experience, and possesses licensure such as LPC or LMSW, with CPR/de-escalation certification.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a social services field (psychology, counseling, social work, sociology, health administration, nursing) or RN.
• Two or more years’ experience in a healthcare admissions role.
• One or more years’ supervisory experience.
• Licensure in LPC or LMSW (or similar) is required.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assign, supervise, and perform duties for the night admissions shift to ensure patient safety and department efficiency.
• Prioritize admissions based on patient needs and facility capacity.
• Coordinate with business office for timely financial counseling when appropriate.
• Provide guidance and direction to staff and foster teamwork.
• Ensure EMTALA log is completed for each patient seen by admissions.
