Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH seeks an Operations Supervisor, Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) for an Overnight Shift at the Hartford Service Center. The role leads maintenance teams, schedules and oversees aircraft servicing, ensuring compliance with FARs and repair station procedures.

The ideal candidate has an A&P certificate and strong leadership in heavy/line maintenance. You will coordinate tooling, parts, and personnel, manage timekeeping, and drive safety and lean initiatives

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience performing aircraft heavy/line maintenance and inspections.
• 2+ years of leadership/supervisory experience, preferably in aircraft maintenance.
• A&P certificate or equivalent under FAR part 65.
• Working knowledge of FAA regulations (part 91/121/135/145).
• Experience with aircraft maintenance inspection programs for jet aircraft.
• Familiarity with EH&S rules and safety in maintenance operations.
• Strong interpersonal skills for relation-building with staff and managers.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to general work requirements and safety programs.
• Supervise assigned employees, approve time cards, and conduct reviews.
• Coordinate unscheduled maintenance and work at locations outside fixed stations.
• Ensure workmanship complies with Repair Station/Quality Manual and FARs.
• Manage resources to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
• Support engineering through requests for tooling or parts as needed.
• Lead meetings and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain records and ensure accurate timekeeping and scheduling.
