Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking a dedicated Unit Clerk for the Premature Nursery (NICU) on the night shift. You will greet families, coordinate patient flow, page nurses, answer phones, and support the unit's clerical needs to ensure smooth operations.

In this full-time role, you will work 11:45 PM to 7:45 AM, contribute to a compassionate, patient-first environment, and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to maintain accurate records and timely

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency
• Minimum of one-year previous clerical experience
• Knowledge of computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and courteously with staff, patients, and visitors
• Experience in a healthcare environment (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families and direct them to the appropriate areas
• Page nurses and answer phones on the unit
• Coordinate appointments and perform general clerical duties at the nursing station
• Sign for important medical deliveries and maintain accurate records
• Multitask between patients, visitors and unit responsibilities
