Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• An American Heart Association BLS cert.
• Minimum of one year experience required.
• Medical terminology training preferred.
• Previous clerical experience in a health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Courteously and professionally covers front desk as needed.
• Answer telephones, greet patients, and relay messages.
• Deliver reports and supplies to patient areas as needed.
• Relay information from physicians, nurses, and other staff.
• Use information systems for patient care and enter orders when needed.
• Maintain unit boards and organize the work area.
• Communicate with the patient care team about unit needs.
• Assist with activities of daily life and patient care as directed.
• Ensure adequate stock of equipment and supplies at par levels.
• Participate in quality improvement programs and department meetings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in care for patients of all ages.
