Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist, Transport, to provide neonatal and pediatric care during patient transfers from Scott and White Hospital Round Rock, TX. This full-time night shift role focuses on coordinating care and ensuring high-quality respiratory support in a mobile setting.

The position requires ARTS/NRP/BLS/ACLS certifications, Texas RCP licensure, and ability to manage complex cases with physicians and families.

Qualifications

• ASSOCIATES degree or equivalent clinical experience.
• 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy or related field.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS certifications required.
• RRT-NPS from NBRC upon hire or within 1 year.
• Texas licensure as an RCP required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and directs respiratory care services including oxygen therapy, airway management, ventilation, and bedside spirometry.
• Administers CPR in emergencies and follows physician orders and protocols.
• Evaluates patient data and adjusts therapies accordingly.
• Coordinates transport care with physicians for stabilization during transfer.
• Documents all treatments and charges and maintains accurate records.
• Adheres to infection control and HIPAA policies; follows safety procedures.
• Maintains mobility and patient safety during transport in fixed-wing/rotor-wing/ambulance settings.
